Dr Ciara Mulvihill

Dr Ciara Mulvihill is an experienced Specialist Oral Surgeon registered with the Irish Dental Council (8DS23)

Dr Mulvihill graduated from Cork University School and Hospital with an honours degree in Dentistry. During her undergraduate Dentistry degree, she was awarded the UCC Title of College Scholar, the Henry Schein Award, and a Gold Medal Award.

She subsequently worked in England, completing her vocational training while also working in general practice. While in England she gained her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons England. She then returned to Ireland where she worked in the Oral and Maxillofacial Unit at Cork University Hospital and then in the Oral Surgery Department at Dublin Dental School and Hospital.

Dr Mulvihill then began a three-year full-time Clinical Doctorate in Oral Surgery at the Dublin Dental University Hospital and graduated with a first-class honours degree. During her Doctorate, she was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine.

Dr Mulvihill now provides Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine services for referring dental and medical practitioners. She is on the committee of the Irish Association of Oral Surgeons and is actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate dental students in the Oral Surgery Department at the Dublin Dental School and Hospital.
